Blaze sat in the metal shop, her face was in deep concentration as she looked at the bow her father left for her. She wanted to make more arrows to match it. As she carefully carved the sun design onto the arrows. They were not perfect, her first 3 arrows hd deformed suns... but it was all cool. Her blue eyes looked up as she grabbed her water bottle and drank water. She had to prepare, she didn't know what was coming, but she had to be ready for it... All she knew was that she had been chosen for a quest. What the quest involved she was unsure, but all she knew is that she had to be ready. And she was not going to die...

I came in and sat away from the other kids, to save them trouble. I searched through the metal box, searching for an ingredient fine enough to make my sword. I pulled out a chunk of metal. "Stygian iron." Somehow, it didn't kill me. I shrugged and started making the blade, promising to make the handle later.

"hey Summer," she smiled as she looked up from the sheet of paper.

"Ok," she looked back down at her paper and wrote her last name in an elegant cursive.

I smiled as I got a chunk of clay and started making the handle.
